Kat is a LCSW, who earned her master’s degree in social work from UC Berkeley and comes to Center for Hope with 15 years’ experience in mental health treatment. Her expertise includes emergency psychiatric intervention, pediatric psychiatric intervention, eating disorders treatment, and chemical dependency treatment. She joined the admissions team as Clinical Social Work Intern in 2013 and soon became a staff therapist while she pursued her independent clinical license.
Kat is passionate about developing individualized therapeutic interventions for each client she works with, specializing in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She enjoys working with individuals and leading therapy groups. Kat also mentors social work interns from the University of Nevada, Reno and Boston University.
