Community at Center for Hope of the Sierras

The Community Connections Program at Center for Hope of the Sierras is a volunteer opportunity, providing a "real-life" experience for patients to find meaning in their lives outside of body preoccupation. It allows patients to sense and develop their own competence and meaningfulness through helping others. Additionally, this program provides patients the means for interaction with the outside world while in treatment, thereby increasing self-confidence and self-reliance in preparation for returning to their homes and communities.
